Everyone hates the queues at passport control. You’ve just spent hours on the plane and you just want to get to your hotel. It’s bad enough waiting for your bags to appear, but then you have the stress of passport control. Firstly its the queues and then there’s thoughts of the stories we’ve all heard about people being rejected by US customs and sent back home. We can’t do anything about being rejected, but there is something you can do about the queuing!
The MPC app!

The MPC app allows your immigration to be processed more efficiently by submitting your travel document, photos, and customs declaration on your phone, rather than having to do it all at the passport control booth. In immigration, you’re directed to a separate queue from the regular travellers, which usually means you’re processed much quicker. At Orlando, you’re put in the same queue as diplomats and flight crew.
Once you’ve downloaded the app you can create a profile including details of your party and your travel documents. Then when you then land at the destination, you simply take photos of your party on the day using the app, fill in your customs declaration, and then hit submit. When you get to passport control you get in the MPC queue (not the regular queue), and then wait to be processed alongside the flight crew. You may feel quite smug as you glance across at your fellow travellers in the long regular queues!
There is one limitation – for non-US citizens you have to be a returning visitor. If its your first time you do need to go through the regular queue. But once you’ve been once, you can use MPC.
